Agree that the comaprison to the octomom is not relevant...but...

Anyone who thinks O.J. Simpson and Michael Jackson are innocent are closing their eyes.

Michael Jackson is the ONLY artist that I have discontinued buying their stuff due to their personal life. And nothing he has said or done has convinced me otherwise.

I think that's still ok - just be sure you're not 'closing your eyes' while you're listening.

Michael was acquitted. I won't get into whether I personally believe he was guilty or not, but I will say that I don't believe everyone who accuses somebody of something - especially when those accusers stand to gain millions from a wealthy accusee. I will also say I have some personal, inside knowledge as to how Tom Sneddon (Santa Barbara DA) operates. I wll leave it at that.

I don't know how the heck OJ got into this. I find it interesting that Black men are guilty even when proven innocent.

Back on subject: The first time Michael Jackson was accused, the case did not go forward due to lack of evidence because the family got what they wanted: a $25 million payday. If someone molested your child, would getting money be considered sufficient justice?

Soooooo, fast forward 10 years. A proven con-artist (she commit fraud against JCPenney and Wherehouse Music) uses her child's illness to find a celebrity target. Chris Tucker and Jay Leno slip out of her net but she lands the big one. But because Michael Jackson knows that if he gives her her big payday, he'll look guilty AND others like her will come out of the woodwork. So he tells the DA: prove it. The DA can't prove it. The porn found: "Barely Legal" and "Playboy" -no kiddie porn. Jackson's celeb victims all three got on the stand and said unequivocally that he never touched them. Nor has any other child come forward. Let's get real: if you walked into a room and a grown man (or anyone else) was LICKING your sleeping child's head, would you turn and walk out of the room? Would your child go anywhere near this person again? Or would you do what this mom did and send your child on a trip to another country?

The fact people are willing to listen to families who use their children to extort people, tells me that people will believe anything. If a credible person ever steps forward and says Michael Jackson is a child molester, I'll join the Michael the Molester club. Until then, I'll side with the twice proven innocent person.

I think OJ a better comparison than the octomom, but admitedly not the point.

You are confusing being found not guilty and being proved innocent. They are not the same. If the State cannot prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, or a jury engages in the rare case of nullification, the accused goes free. This does not necessarily mean their innocence is proved.

I loved the Jackson 5 when I was growing up, and I loved his music up to the Bad album. Thriller practically defines the 1980s. Even if Michael Jackson isn't a child molester, he is a self-absorbed, utter weirdo, and why anyone would continue to admire and respect him is beyond me. Dangling his baby over a balcony is just one example. I won't tick off the whole list of his oddities; one can easily look them up on the internet. His oddities go beyond eccentric; many artists are quirky, but he takes the cake. But more than that, he is, in my opinion, a jerk.

nyctc7 and cruxan sound like the millions of incredibly jealous people who have accomplished very little in their lives and certainly nothing notable.

Why would people continue to respect and admire Michael Jackson? Reasonable people realize that Michael Jackson is a human being and perfectly capable of making mistakes. We also know that what Michael does in his personal life has nothing to do with his talent. How many of us could keep our jobs if our bosses judged how we conducted our lives away from work as an indication of how well we perform our jobs?

Imagine this: You had an idea that made your company millions and put it on the map and everyone treated you like their hero. One day you get arrested for DUI, even though you were not drunk. The charges were dismissed because they discovered the machines calibration were off. Even though you were cleared of wrong doing, a number of people in your company decided that you accomplishments no longer counted and acted as though you should no longer exist.

Michael deserves respect and admiration because he has made notable history over a dozen times before the age of 50. The first time at the age of 13. His personal life and how he conducts it has NOTHING to do with his talent.

you meen he used to be taleted!!!!!! and far as jealousy you got to be kidding me.... for one i think that most [but not all] of the sport stars tv stars music stars of today have no talent. lets take paris hilton for example do you realy think she's got talent? no she is just a spoiled little rich brat of a girl that inherited 150 million dollars from her father and that got her famous.. do you think alex rodriguez is worth 240 million dollars for a 5 year contract in baseball.. no he is shurley is not!!!!!!!! americas priorities are scewed up when a baseball player makes more money than a brain surgeon..you know somthing is wrong with our society... baseball used to be about taking your family to a fun sporting event... but now it's all about rapeing the people from there hard earned money... tv land makes people famous even when you don't have talent..it's time to boycott such events!!!!!!!
