I was shocked to hear of his passing because I didn't know he had cancer. I have to agree that he was talented...............and smart too. Another one gone way to early.

I saw him on an interview where he said his biggest regret was turning down the role of "Forrest Gump" and chose to do "Time Cop" as he was sure it would be a big hit and Forrest would be a bomb.

Great actor. He for some reason always reminded me of NY, the way he carried himself. Shame that in the latter part of his life he made the fatal mistake of supporting Goerge Bush. Had Bush thrown that nearly trillion dollars into fighting cancer, instead of his failed war, Silver might still be with us.

Sad to hear. He will be missed.

typical San Francisco liberal stupidity. His supporting "George" W. Bush was not a "fatal" mistake. Had Bush thrown trillion dollars into fighting cancer our deficit would be even bigger than it already is and they'd still be trying to find a cure for cancer. Even if they found a cure for cancer it would be decades before it would be approved by the FDA. Now get off the drugs and get an education.
