Charles Gibson just reported it on ABC per LA Times. He died, not in a coma.

I can't even get on the L.A. Times website. I bet it's being flooded. Jeez. The limitations of the Internet... If that's true, then that's very sad.

Possibly because they are essentially an entertainment and 'rumor' site they don't have the ethical constraints of verifying sources like news media does. They tend to get very accurate inside information, though.
Just stated and confirmed on TV chanel -7, Jackson is Dead! What a shame. He had every thing and wanted more, and now will not enjoy his efforts of his work.

yes the LA times was updating the story and at 315 they confirmed that he was prnounced dead by his doctors.

TMZ had the scoop. for all the muckraking they do, they seem to be pretty accurate.

Default RIP Michael Jackson

Apparently Michael Jackson died today at UCLA medical center. Although I wasn't a fan, this is a very sad day for the millions who loved his music.
