You can't tell what someone's alterior motive is just because they are seen with a sad face.

I hope he stuck with her for the right reason.

I hope he stayed with her for the right reasons also. I also hope that even if he didn't - she wasn't aware of it and still gained some comfort from his presence.

Farrah took care of Ryan when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. They came together again as a result. He in turn took care of her.
They had been together for a very LONG time prior to her becoming ill.

Some of you are making me ill with your lies and snarliness today

I frankly find his sudden interest in Farrah during her very public demise, OPPORTUNISTIC.

He stuck close to her while she was dying and I can't imagine how Farrah felt, given that O'Neal was going against his true character out of pity and possibly self-preservation. No, I'm not impressed with O'Neal and he doesn't deserve to be placed in a good light IMO.

I thought I saw Ryan saying -- a couple of days ago -- that he wanted to marry Farrah??? Why did he not over all these years???

Look, I'm sorry to burst your romantic bubble that Ryan O'Neal is not Oliver from Love Story. He is an incredibly talented actor with a very publicized temper and drug problems.

And I really don't care about 'slamming' someone who lost a loved one. Personally, I think behavior prior to death is more important then the pretended mourning afterwards.

I never saw "Love Story" so I have no idea whom you're referring to.

I commented on your claims that he beat everyone. You don't know that to be a fact. You read it somewhere and believed it. And without real proof... you still choose to believe it and then feel the need to post it on the internet as if it were truth.

Me? I don't know if he did or didn't... but I can comment on those that read the tabloids and believe what they read.

And no matter how you wish to paint it, you did make nasty, tacky comments about someone who just lost a loved one. If you're gonna do that at least let the body get cold first. Gah!

Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle. We'll never know. I'm just glad that Farrah didn't die alone, that she had the two people she was closest to right by her side when the time came.

really have to give it to Ryan. Not many men in Hollywood would have did what you did. You loved and stood by her until her last breath in city where people are in love today and gone tomorrow. A city where most men would have said "you are too old and too sick and I am leaving for a younger doll". You sir, are a class act and one hell of a good man!

I hadn't thought of that, kev k. and reps for you. What a great post and I agree with you. I truly think that he loved Farrah and that he has straightened out as a man a lot lately.

Maybe she didn't want to marry him? It is their business... Good or bad, they had a child together and were soulmates.

Is there no place for redemption in your view or your life? Sad. That's a losing way of thinking.

It takes courage to be with someone you love all the time when you see them suffering and in pain and you still stick by them. Many run from this. He wasn't married to her; he didn't have to stick by her. You must realize that people may not be wise when they are younger; they may be self-centered, egocentric, but praise those that learn along the way and change their ways. Shame on you for not acknowledging this. I thought you would think differently.
