RIP, Billy Mays, the "king" of informercials. Heard this yesterday afternoon and was shocked. Granted, his ads were a bit much at times, but he was good at and loved what he did.
What's sad is that we really didn't get to see his full potential or what other doors may have opened up for him down the line.
I have Discovery Channel on my facebook page and they are going to have a marathon of all 11 Pitchmen shows and top it off with the one unseen episode this Wed. July 1, starting at 10 AM Eastern.
Just about everything hung in our house is hung on Hercules Hooks. Plus my wife is a BIG fan of Oxyclean in the laundry.

Billy represents another world. I know that sounds corny, but it's something different than Madison Avenue.
It represents getting an honest product for the money.
Everything today is hidden and masked with stupid celebrity endorsements and packaging. Most celebrities simply say they use or buy a product, simply because they were given enough money to say it. Whether they think the product is good or not is immaterial.
Billy represents real people who work for a living, who want to be dealt with in a direct fashion.

I think that is a big part of his appeal.
We can all kick God's shins for another mistake in his big stupid plan.
