simon is an actual business man with companies, endorsements, etc. I can see why he makes 100's of millions, excessive? sure, but Ryan, IMO, doesn't really do anything special to warrant that kind of cash. Especially with the economy in the toilet (which I know is not Ryan'd or Simon's fault) it doesn't matter if Simon's a jerk, or not, personality doesn't have much to do with it.
I'm glad Ryan stands up to Simon on the show, etc, but I just don't see the talent to be worth that much, IMO.

No one seems to mind Simon making a couple hundred million... and for what? being a pompous ass who has far less talent than anyone he sits in judgement of. I'd rather look at Ryan than Simon anyday. The show is making billions... why not give the host his share?
well, Simon has many other endeavors and endorsements, he had shows in the UK, etc. He's a business man. To me, Ryan just stands there, or sits at a radio booth, etc. I just think 45 mil (ok, over 2 years!) is a tad overkill. Great he's making money, but 45 mil just seems over the top.
I was explaining, not justifying. Frankly, I think Ryan's MC skills are mediocre at best. I don't "get" the attraction.
I can't stand the guy personally. He's so sleazy and his stupid radio show is infesting radio stations everywhere, his topics are about as interesting as watching leaves fall. I've tried writing to a couple of them to please pull this ridiculous show of his off the air but to no avail.
