I think that's all that this interview was about--a rebuttal which won't matter at all.
I don't think of it as a rebuttal...they were accusing AIG of all kinds of things. No one forced Joe to do the interview. It was under Joe's discretion before the interview to deem certain topics off limits if he chose to, which it didnt' seem he did. Larry blew his opportunity to get a good interview

Joe was never charged for child abuse which makes all these claims from years ago hear say. He flat out denied the rumor about signing papers to stay away from Katherines home and the kids. I think the media is gullible in thinking Joe's rumored behavior from years ago will play into the custody of MJ's kids at all.

I think the media is well aware of 'hot topics' and what attracts viewers and increases ratings. Drama--child abuse, addiction, conspiracy.

If the Jackson family wants to spend every waking minute in court then they can --Joe might.

He refuted the allegations of abuse and then was given an opportunity to make allegations against AIG, who will then refute those claims. Until they get to a judge/court this is a waste of time.

One commentator said that as far as the investigation of the prescription drugs goes it is possible that there will be many ways to for doctors to defend themselves since Michael Jackson used numerous aliases. FWIW.

They have a right to pursue this to the full extent of the law but appearing on talk shows won't help much, jmo.

Well I think Joe likes the attention and his publicist doesn't seem to be doing their job. It's actually pretty amusing he would allow himself to sound so illiterate and make himself more of a laughing stock.

I know he sounds 'odd' but there is probably a legal cause of action behind the garbled words.

This will probably go on for years.

Takeahike are you softening to Joe's charming ways What is this "legal cause of action" you're speaking of? If he was concerned about legal matters he could simply keep his pie hole shut!

No--lol--I assume that Joe wants money from some entity--AIG and any/all connected to the recording business. They keep saying that AIG scheduled too many concerts, took advantage of Michael Jackson's fragile health--to some attorney I suppose that is reason enough to construct a legal action.
It makes no sense to me--anything that he says.

The other guy they interviewed, Leonard Rowe, a former publicist or assistant actually made no sense. They went back and forth about a letter that seemed to state that MJ no longer wanted his representation. Then there was discussion of another letter which he said he never received and some phone call. If you aren't under oath in a court of law I think there is a great deal of 'leeway'. Then if you get to court and are asked if on such and such a date on the Larry King show did you say 'blah blah blah' an attorney can object? That is about all I know of the law.

When they show the video of the last rehearsal Michael Jackson doesn't appear to be in critically poor health but who knows--I suppose that is another reason for a lawsuit?

Mr. Jackson is an old man. Of course he will deny the beatings, in his time he and others thought it was normal. In fact, some still do. I gather he was very mean and strict on his kids. Michael and his brothers have let by gones be by gones, so I don't know why King was asking him about it. After all, he is their father. It's water under the bridge. And we should try not to disrespect Mr. Jackson because I know Michael wouldn't want us to. The best thing we could do is ignore him.

Papa Joe's antics are up for fodder! I don't think Michael had let by-gones be by-gones. He wasn't even speaking to his Father. Somehow I think he would have enjoyed the toungue lashing!

This interview just reiterates one thing: Joe is a leech, an ass, & an illiterate fool. It didn't help that his "buddy" Leonard Rowe both sounded like backwards, country ass fools. I'm sorry but I just have to be honest. This is such an embarrassment to black people. RIP MJ.
