Takeahike, thanks for posting that I too missed it. He is just an old dude. Guys give the man a break. He has seen so much in his lifetime and had other children die and is close to death himself so I can kinda see where he is at with things. The media is spinning this thing and we are eating it up. The abuse MJ might have faced was long ago and I'm sure he made peace with it especially as he became a parent himself. No one is perfect and we can't pick our parents. At least Joe can say none of his kids ended up in jail.
Again, the media spin to me seems like how they try to spin Serena and Venus' dad. They come from the old school.
