Default Sha na na guitartist dies
"Dirty Dan McBride" lead guitarist and singer for Sha Na Na died in his sleep on Thurs. July 23,2009. He was with Sha Na Na from 1975-1980, recently he was a actor, voice-over artist, singer and guitarist. I can remember the nights when they had their weekly show, I'd be singing and dancing in the livingroom, my favorite was "Johnny" and "Screamin Scott". I remember them from the movie "Grease".......what a cool group of guys. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to read that sad news. I don't know much about Sha Na Na, but they were good at what they did. On the whole, I'd rather listen to the originals that they copied, though. But at least they reminded people of the originals!
