Suzanne Somers thinks Patrick Swayze could have been alive today if he would have used alternative methods to treat his pancreatic cancer instead of chemotherapy.
The former "Three's Company" star, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991 and rejected chemotherapy in favor of natural treatments, reportedly told Toronto-based columnist Shinan Govani that it was Swayze's chemotherapy treatments, not pancreatic cancer, that ended his life prematurely.
Suzanne Summers had extensive radiation treatments for her breast cancer, from what I read at the time. Thats hardly natural treatments.
Prior to the cancer, she was dieting and saw her on a TV program recommending eating hot dogs, as many as 3per meal
She's a nut! I never did like her. I love "Three's Company", but I never did like her.
Have to agree. This reminds me of Tom Cruise calling out Brooke Shields. In the end it only makes her look like an ass. To say this days after his death is disrespectful and wrong. Where did she get her medical degree from? Oh wait she dropped out of college, so who is she to attack the efforts of doctors who have actual degrees and know what they are talking about.
it's always easy to say to someone(or about them), after the fact, "you should have done this or that"..what works for one does not work for someone else...talk is cheap!

Why is she talking? How insensitive of her to give her viewpoint on something that killed a man and she's not a doctor and I'll bet not familiar with the type of cancer Patrick had.
I agree with all of you, in that Suzanne Somers is no expert and I haven't heard that she's cancer free either.
Having said that--until advancement is made in the field of Pancreatic cancers I think it's ,for now, a waste of anyone's money to use the treatments offered since there is basically no chance in hell anyone is going to be cured of this cancer using the methods available now. How much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is spent and how many lives are saved? 1%? Maybe?
At this point though, any recently diagnosed pancreatic cancer patient should know-going into treatment-that they are really nothing more than a human lab rat. For real.

Having breast cancer and having a partial mastectomy is a whole different thing than someone having pancreatic cancer, which is the deadlest cancer one can get, with less than 5% of people diagnosed with it will still be alive in 5 years.

Last time I saw her face it was on an ad for bed-wetting.
