Wow, couldn't believe he said he needs time to figure out his marriage. After all the relationships he has had why would Kate want to reconcile with him. He moved on and she should too. The next time he is on TV and is getting paid will he start playing the field again? The guy is very resentful.

I also agree that it isn't good for the kids, but Jon is a complete tool.

I heard that rather garbled statement. Later on he said something about 'Kate needs to focus on what is best for her family---communicate with me more rationally--we only communicate via text messages, we are still Mom and Dad.'

The impression that this left on me was another 'dramatic moment' had been created as a smoke screen for whatever is really going on. The divorce is one aspect and contractual negotiations with TLC seems to be another and of course they are interrelated--so it is hard to make a determination.

His attorney seems to have found some legal points to support this response.

What the goal may be I cannot say. Someone said he wanted to be released from 'exclusivity' with TLC in order to pursue other options. Maybe the Gosselins can sue TLC ??

Kate's attorney was clear that there was no hope of reconciliation and announced that the arbitrator had refused to grant a 90 day delay to the divorce.

They can drag this out as long as they wish but with each passing day I believe many of us could care less each day.

Someone said he is applying leverage--to get what he wants. I suppose his purpose will be revealed in time but posting a sign with misspelled words on the gate outside his house was not a classy touch.

What the kids must think--I can't begin to imagine. They've been on hiatus for periods of time as long as the show has aired so I suppose this is not as traumatic as it might seem and hopefully someone gives them updates even it Mom says one thing and Dad another.

Fingers crossed a great deal of money has been protected for the kids.
