Tell me, what part of this: Sexual Harassment (http://www.eeoc.gov/types/sexual_harassment.html - broken link) did he violate?

I wonder if he'll mock himself over the affairs - as he's done to so many in the past..
I believe part of this is for ratings as well.

I don't think this will be discussed again on air--I could be wrong and have been wrong before, FWIW.
Last night there was a statement from WorldWide Pants, Letterman's company, to the effect that the affairs took place prior to his marriage--from that I inferred that there is some concern about potential lawsuits.
I haven't watched late night TV in years but hope this doesn't have to become a bigger deal than already is. Someone said they contacted a colleague who is on his staff and learned that noone knew anything until the announcement.
Times have really changed but I remember Johnny Carson's multiple marriages and divorces--something of a scandal at the time. He survived but that was 'Then' and this is 'Now', etc.

Your name is perfect in explaining (and is defined in the statutes) why he is guilty."

Too bad that woman lived with Letterman, a cheater, had his child and then married him.

He's a big celebrity, so his affairs didn't surprise me in the least, not one bit. Personally, I don't know why anyone would want to sleep with HIM. Always found him to be a big turn-off.

Just what I thought. Thanks for the "link."
It's amazing how many people are just making up stories in their heads about this.
