It is a control thing. He wants Kate to come to him and negotiate with him on his terms and sounds like he has run out of money too. Wonder if he has to give it back in divorce court. Can these people get divorced already. Don't know why Kate even bothered continuing to have a joint account with the guy, wonder if now will she remove the wedding ring? One of the firsts things she should have done when he was going around town with other women was to get separate accounts. Doesn't the lady have divorced friends?

I believe it was an account they used when the marriage was "better"...Court order said neither one should make large withdrawals without the consent of the other....so she was probably waiting until the terms of the divorce were clear on what was hers and what was his....He didn't feel compelled to wait for that apparently....

how sad for the kids--my ex did that--left us penniless----even tho the kids were older they never forgot how we had to struggle---result--zero relationship with dad---obviously in that idiots mind?,he thinks the kids do not pay attention to any of his meanness
