I feel bad for Kate. She has no one. She has no family and no friends. In last night's interview, she said that she had to "step back" from her parents because they didn't agree with her choices. I'm sure it had something to do with doing more of the invetro. I can understand. My sister, who has no kids, made a lot of negative comments when I was trying to get pregnant with my 4th child. I had to distance myself from her for a while.
Kate has no friends. Possibly because of her personality and possibly because of her time limits.
Compare her to Jon. SHE cannot just go to NY and pick up with any man. She has 8 kids and a house to maintain. Jon has it easy.
Look back at the beginning of the show. They were both different. Sad to say that some of the changes over the last years have not been good for them.
I'm sure when Kate decided to keep all the babies, she didn't expect things to turn out this way.
In her interview, she mentioned being her younger brother and how he has spoken out against her for money. How sad for her. Money changes people. I have seen it in a lot of families.
I don't see the show as exploiting the kids. I would be willing to bet that they did like it. They liked the crew and miss them. Too bad that it is all ruined now for them. What I don't understand is why others think they know best for someone else's children. Why does this show "exploit" kids but the others shows like The Duggars and Table for 12 doesn't???

I don't think it was that. While I can certainly understand parents being concerned about their grown daughter (from a health perspective)...however, once she did it, and then did not die giving birth, and all the kids had their 10 fingers and 10 toes and no brain damage...would that be any reason not to have a relationship with their child and grandchildren???? After all is said and done...and everything turned out fine...why would this be reason to continue hostility? IMO, it must be something else.

IMO, Jon paid his hell with her verbal and psychological abusiveness towards him. She made him look like a fool (and a tool) on national TV, in a way that no loving spouse should make another look. Jon is now making her pay with his outlandish behavior. Love all broken and wrong, IMO. The problem with Jon is that he did nothing to stop or nip it in the bud...rather, he just walked when he could no longer take it. IMO, both of them, EQUALLY, contributed to the breakdown.

I don't see Kate's brother making tons of dough off this? He was her last hold to her childhood family. And he and his wife did help out at one time. A husband/wife relationship going bad, especially if one feels that his sister is in the wrong, has a way of chasing people away...friends and family.

They are all bad. It is not normal, nor healthy, for children to be followed around by TV crews. What does it teach a child when freebies are thrown at them left and right? How do they feel when it stops? How will they feel when they're older and not able to achieve these things on their own or aquariums don't close to the public for them and their own kids?
Unfortunately, not all, but some of those kids are doomed. MADy being the first of them. We should start an office pool as to which one get arrested first or ends up in rehab, jail or becomes a teenage parent.

I feel the same way in some aspects and I wonder if the children will suffer through that period where the world just stops caring about them, like child actors once they become teenagers.

Why is it that Jon keeps the drama going? Now he has Hailey on TV. I wonder how much she was paid for that? Does Jon have a job? Does Hailey have a job?

Well, if you look around and other people are running away from you---I mean EVRYONE---then I think it is time to look at what you are doing to make them do that. If it was one or two people then ok, but EVERYBODY----hey, get a clue it just may be you are the problem.
I hope she learns that before her kids start to run away from her.
