The best part of the show for me, was when Whitney Houston sang. This is her comeback. Many people in the audience were crying ,including me. For many years I saw this fantastic singer/mother/church lady succumb to drugs, and it broke my heart, when someone that has so much to offer, so much talent, falls prey to them.

She said her faith finally helped her pull through, and I am so happy that she got rid of that BEAST, (her husband, who introduced her to them.)

She sang a song about her strenghts. Now, Whitney, darling, show the world what you can do now as well as you did it before, and teach them "Never to Underestimate the Power of a Woman."

But why did they give her that big award? Talk about the elephant in the room.

If I am not mistaken, it was given to her because she sold the most records INTERNATIONALLY, of all the singers in the world.

There's no white elephant -- she's a phenomenal international star with an excellent voice. I appreciate her more now that so many younger stars are so hideously untalented. I didn't care for the song and I don't think it showcased what her voice is capable of, but I have to assume the song has meaning for her personally and she gets to choose what she sings.

After the endless parade of sl___s and hobags on this show, it was such a breath of fresh air so see her clean, sweet performance and her modest, lovely dress.

Luckily I turned to the show just in time to see her introduced. I was seriously concerned about the damage she had done to her voice.
I've always been a big fan.
I am no longer concerned.....I didn't like the song but her voice is back to being incredible.

Welcome back Whitney. You go girl!

Anytime that someone who has hit bottom picked themselves up from the gutter, you need to give them support and encouragement. At least, she got rid of that loser that she was married to.

Unfortunately, many women who have so much going for them, today, are marrying losers, who their only accomplishment in life, is to bring them down to the gutter..................women need to wisen up!!!!!!!!!!!!
