Think how much more awesome it could've been if his extra-curricular activities didn't get in the way.

"But what people do not know are the details of the contracts – now straining under the weight of scandal involving allegations of more than 10 mistresses.
Specifically, there are what sports endorsement experts call "morals clauses" that might permit his sponsors to sever contracts with without facing financial penalties. "They will generally keep it relatively broad," said Kirk Wakefield, a sports marketing professor at Baylor University in Texas. "Who would have interpreted this one? I mean, `If you go over 10!'... You can't spell out all the possible stupid things you can do."
... the last one being aired on Nov. 29 – two days after the mysterious late night SUV crash and right in the middle of parade of tabloid stories alleging affairs with mistresses.
That ad was for Gillette Co., which has reached a sort of "strike three" in terms of its athlete endorsements: French soccer star Thierry Henry is now almost universally reviled for his handball assist in a World Cup playoff; and top-ranked tennis pro Roger Federer bombed at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in the semi-finals. All three appear in a commercial. Pundits are calling it the "curse of the Gillette three."
Keith McIntyre, of Toronto's K.Mac and Associates, has negotiated athlete endorsement deals for more than a decade. He says companies often fuss over a variety of clauses, based on anything from performance, to product sales, to unquestionable moral failure.
"If athlete A does X, Y, Z – we have a right to terminate," he said simply.

"In another blow to the golfer’s reputation, a US congressman announced yesterday that he was dropping his attempt to bestow America’s highest civilian honour on Woods. Joe Baca had proposed a Bill in March to award Woods the Congressional Gold Medal for promoting good sportsmanship and breaking down barriers.
Mr Baca said that “in light of the recent developments surrounding Tiger Woods and his family” he was abandoning the legislation."
"Woods’s public ratings have also dropped, affecting the likes of Gillette, Nike, Tag Heuer, Accenture and AT&T, whose marketing campaigns have been modelled on his clean performance both on and off the fairways. Some retailers are reporting a reduction of up to 33 per cent in sales of their Tiger Woods action figures."

The Wall Street Journal:
Marketers can get burned by reacting too quickly to a publicity crisis. A unit of Italian apparel maker Fila Holding dropped Sacramento Kings forward Chris Webber as an endorser in 1998, only to be sued because he had merely been charged with—not convicted of—marijuana possession. Fila was ordered in 1999 to pay Mr. Webber $2.61 million in lost endorsement fees. The athlete went on to work for a rival.
Marketing experts also say sponsors are likely to have more bargaining power with Mr. Woods when his deals come up for renewal, and he may find new deals harder to land. For instance, Mr. Woods used to be sponsored by Buick, but after his accident, a new car deal probably would be tough to land.
"The real question is, is he going to want to try to rebuild his endorsement career?" Mr. Williams says. "He has made so much money that he could simply fade into the background and let these agreements expire."

I know the British TV host has yet to be named by 99.999% of the websites. Her name is Kristy Gallacher, which I posted two days ago. Don't know why they haven't filled that info in yet...

"British media yesterday named TV presenter and former pin-up Kirsty Gallacher, a household name there, as a friend of Tiger's.
She is now married and pregnant. But in an interview several years ago when she was single, she described him as "wonderful, kind and talented - not to mention incredibly handsome".
She added: "Whenever he's over here, he gives me a call."

I saw a clip of Jamie Grubbs talking to someone about her affair w/ Tiger on The Today Show this morning.
She said,"she has no regrets","didn't know he was married at first" (yeah right), and that,"she's sorry for the pain this has caused his wife".
How do you say you're sorry and than say you have no regrets? That's a bit of an oxymoron.

And first saving incriminating info (how does one save text messages, anyway, from months/years ago? ), then splashing the dirt all over the media, then saying sorry. Did she just want her 15 minutes?

The National Enquirer is reported to be about to reveal the existence of at least one [love] child fathered by Woods outside his marriage.
