Mark Steinberg, Woods' longtime agent at IMG, is likely to be one of the major figures in the rebuilding of Tiger's image, both now and in years to come. He's been involved with this story since the very beginning; he was one of the people who initially contacted police over Thanksgiving weekend to inform them that Tiger and Elin would not be answering their questions -- as, of course, was their legal right. Now, he's tasked with picking up the pieces after a celebrity fall from grace unparalleled in American history.

It's important to note that there's a huge difference between digging into the details of Tiger's private life and questioning the details of his financial and sponsorship arrangements. While polls indicate that most Americans believe Woods deserves privacy to work out his family problems, he's also a corporation unto himself, with dozens if not hundreds of people whose livelihoods depend on Woods and his image. So the travails of Tiger Woods Inc. are very much worthy of scrutiny.

Gerald Posner over at the Daily Beast has taken a close look at how Tiger's management team is handling the crisis, and specifically how Steinberg is trying to preserve Woods' long-term sponsorship viability. "Specifically," Posner writes, "sources at two of Woods’s corporate sponsors told The Daily Beast that Steinberg has been working furiously to get them to issue public statements demonstrating that they 'had full faith in Tiger and backed him completely.'" And according to Posner, while Nike is on board with the plan, Gillette and Gatorade are not, and Accenture is wavering.

Forbes has done a fine job of breaking down the specifics of Woods' business empire; for instance, while he's earned more than a billion dollars, he's got an estimated net worth of "only" $500 million. He earns $35 million a year from Nike alone, he now commands a $3 million appearance fee for international tournaments, and he also enjoys lucrative side opportunities like golf course design. So, yes, he'll still be able to pay the rent.

One of the biggest madams in the country tells TMZ two of Tiger Woods' alleged mistresses are high-end escorts .. and the madam says she has tax forms to prove it ... tax forms now obtained by TMZ.

The madam -- Michelle Braun -- recently pled guilty to money laundering and sending a prostitute over state lines.
Michelle tells us she used Global Travel Network -- GTN -- as a front to pay her escorts. The documents obtained by TMZ show the two women connected to Tiger -- Jamie Jungers and Holly Joy Sampson -- allegedly received payment from the GTN company. The documents do not suggest that Tiger ever paid for any type of service with GTN.

Michelle tells us both women received their compensation for "introductions" to men.

TMZ called and emailed Jungers for a comment about Braun's claims -- nada. Sampson's reps declined to comment.

Tiger Gets Order Blocking Nude Photos, Videos

Tiger Woods' British lawyers have obtained a court order from the High Court in London, prohibiting British publications from publishing any nude photos and videos of Tiger Woods ... and TMZ has obtained copies of the documents.

Tiger Woods' lawyers sent a letter to multiple UK papers and blogs, stating the court order "prevents the publication of private and confidential information contained in the Order.... this Order is not to be taken as any admission that any such photographs exist, and in the event they do exist they may have been fabricated, altered, manipulated and/or changed to create the false appearance and impression that they are nude photographs of our client."

The court order also covers any possible videos. It blocks the publication of "any photographs, footage or images taken or obtained of the claimant [Tiger] naked or any naked parts of the claimant's [Tiger's] body or of him involved in any sexual activity."

The lawyer's letter says, "Our client is not aware of any images and in any event he would not have consented to any such photographs being taken nor would he have consented to the dissemination or exploitation of the same."

Rachel Uchitel is threatening to sue the ladies at "The View" -- or at least one of them -- for suggesting she's a hooker.

Gloria Allred, lawyer for Tiger Wood's alleged mistress #1, is pissed that Joy Behar joked on the show today, "Yeah, you-ka-tell she's a hooker."

Gloria says the statement was false, defamatory and highly offensive -- and hurtful, too.

Gloria Allred says Rachel is "not amused" because "she values her reputation and her reputation has been damaged..."
