(The Frisky) -- Heidi Klum has officially changed her name to Heidi Samuel, taking Seal's last name, four years and four kids after getting hitched.
Obviously, this isn't going to catch on at all; even Seal thinks he's too cool for his last name. And does a Klum by any other name smell as sweet? We just dunno. But I guess Heidi can do whatever she wants; she walked in a Victoria's Secret runway show last week, six weeks after popping out a baby. It takes me longer than that to digest a sandwich.
Sadly, changing your name can often be a career death sentence. Let's explore the curse of the name change, including the always alluring hyphen.

She's just too pretty for that name. I don't like it. But I don't like him, either.

Why would you assume, with the last name of Samuel, that he's Jewish... and better yet, why would it matter what color he is and what religion he is?

In case you didn't know, many German names sound like Jewish names (something some of us have grown up knowing all our lives, due to our last names). If you want a great example of this, look up the tragic 1985 hijacking of TWA flight 847, where the Lebanese hijackers singled out Jews on the plane by reading the passenger list, confusing Germans with Jews.

Seal's name is Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel and he is ethnically, Nigerian-Brazilian. HIGHLY doubt he's Jewish.

Not that it matters.
