I think the problem is that none of them are really funny, nor have funny writers. You mix that in with them being on network tv and it's a disaster. Late night network television is dead. Now I watch the local news and read in bed for a while, then go to sleep. I have a feeling alot of people do this now.

Conan doesn't do a thing for me. On the rare occasion I watch those late night talk shows, I preferred Jay Leno first, then David Letterman.
But I would watch a sitcom rerun over any of them, any day.

Conan was a fit for where he was......late night.....younger people are up late.....the older crowd hangs out for the 11:30.

But he wanted that show since forever. Nobody was being prevented from from watching his show. But nobody did.

Maybe on FOX he can thrive.....like Arsenio did.

I like Conan and Letterman, but I usually go to bed by the time the shows come on. Never thought Leno show was funny.

Conan had Ricky Gervais as a guest last night and they were hilarious together fanning the flames of the controversy. The pair raked NBC over the coals. IMHO, Gervais is the best of them all. People is reporting that Conan's last show will be January 22nd, two weeks prior to the start of the Olympics. CoCo's showing NBC no mercy (good for him) so maybe they want him off as soon as possible.

Jerry Seinfeld's new comedy, Marriage Ref, crime series "Law & Order" and new family drama "Parenthood" will replace "The Jay Leno Show," at 10 p.m., bringing an end to a failed experiment, NBC said on Thursday. The new lineup will start after the Olympics. Just what we need another reality show. I like Seinfeld but Marriage Ref looks a loser.
Clip:
It did not clarify what was happening in its attempt to reshuffle its Monday-Friday late night line-up with Leno and Conan O'Brien's "The Tonight Show."
NBC said that starting March 1, it will air long-running crime drama "Law & Order" on Mondays, beginning with a two-hour episode, and sister show "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10 p.m.

IMO...Leno will be boo'ed off The old (new) (old) Tonight Show when he goes back to it. People are taking to kindly to this act of his.

Team CoCo has been mobilized! there are at least 6 different "I'm With CoCo" groups on Facebook, and who knows how many other pro-Conan groups there may be. every TV critic I've been reading also seem to be on Team CoCo

Leno and NBC definitely lost some public appeal w/ this

Yep...Conan's ratings are going through the roof as everyone is turning in just to hear what he has to say about it and rip NBC a new ahole. He's a smart guy...he will be leaving at a point where his ratings will be higher than Leno's was when he left. He's as almost as good as Howard Stern when it comes to revenge of the enemy.

Leno is looking like a dick right now...and I predict his career is OVER.
