Quite a few, from people in entertainment to heads of countries, writers you name 'em and I don't mean intimate, I worked with, knew casually, seen around the neighbourhood etc. My first job when I moved to Los Angeles in the mid 80's was working for Cannon Productions. At the time Chuck Norris was making movies with them...Delta Force,Invasion USA, Missing in action were just a few dreadful B movies they made. Norris had an office there and seemed to come in quite regualarly. My desk was behind his PA's and I remember he bought her a tennis bracelet for her birthday and took her and a few other girls from the office to The Bistro in Beverly Hills. I was treated like the step-child and wasn't invited. I knew a well known Producer who had produced albums by Van Morrison, Michael McDonald, Van Halen, Pointer Sisters etc. He was also a big wig at Warner Bros. Would often dine at Jerrys Deli...and couldn't get enough of his stories about Van Morrison who I adore.

Living and working in LA I met so many, some were not nice encounters...came face to face with Don Simpson not long before he died, don't like to speak bad of the dead, but the dude was horrible. Spent a nice 1 1/2 hours chatting with a drummer from from Paul Simons band at the bar at the Driskel Hotel in Austin Texas. The crab cake was yummy.

However one of my most tawdry encounters was back in the 80's when a friend of mine who was a very high class "call boy" in LA wanted me to buy the "gay dating" agency he worked for - he knew I was very open-minded and up for anything and thought I'd make a good "manager" ...the owners mental health was declining somewhat and his momma wanted him to move back home (another country).

I seriously thought about it, met with the owner, went over "the books" and was about to go for it when I changed my mind mainly because the business was closely connected to the gay porn industry and although I'm no prude, I just didn't want to go there. My friend ended up buying the business himself and would often ask me to answer the phones when he was out of town or taking time off. There were the obvious celebs, producers, directors, TV personalities etc we all know about but there was one sports figure that blew my mind along with one of my mothers favorite crooners from the 50's - as they were married. The callers got to know me and I had a blast chatting with them and have even received presents from them.

Gawd if he's reading this he’ll recognise it - Yo! PM me and lets talk about old times

Ooooh I just remembered, knew a gal who was a Talent Co ordinator for an evening talk show at CBS on Fairfax. She'd let me know who the guests were and occassionally I'd stop by. All I needed was a pass which was waiting at reception. Got to nibble on finger food and drink wine in the green room. Wish I could remember the name of the host, it only lasted a few seasons.

My cousins uncle is Bob Costas. My mom dated Steven Miller. The grateful dead played a show to get my dad out of jail. My dad was in rehab with Grace Slick. I loaned Beck's mom money to bail his stepdad Sean out of jail. I was Courtney Love's asst. for awhile. I was at the filming of a few movies. Funny because someone wrote below.
I too was at some of the filming of Man on the Moon as a guest of Miss Love's (Courtney wanted me to be in the movie, but I couldn't because of continuity reasons because i wasn't able to hang around for the whole shoot). Jim Carrey was in character for the whole making of the movie so I met Andy Kaufmann but i never really met Jim Carrey.

UMMMM....Ewwwwwwwww! LOL. Don't worry. I had Michael Hutchens from INXS do the same thing to me. My friend that was with me felt she was baptised by a holy man. I was thinking,"I have spit all over me!"

My great grandfather worked at First National Pictures (later became part of Warner Brothers).
Cedric Gibbons, Minta Durfee and Keene Curtis were my cousins.
