Lived in the Poconos, PA for many years. Rod Steward has a place there, I stopped by a local store called Ben Franklin and saw the limo and wondered...walked in and there he was with a beautiful model type woman, a really lovely couple. He looked great, and I've heard is a great entergentic entertainer...
I didn't meet him...but as you know, years ago, Pocono Raceway was a real heavy hitter for indy cars. Paul Newman used to come. There was a man who stood out front of the race way directing cars with one of the homemade top hats he made out of deer hide with antlers. One day, he says a man walks up to him and says..."Do you have a hat for sale" the local who was Pennsylvania Dutch, says...."vell now, I don't have any left for sale"
The man asks, "well how bout that one on your head" The local answers, vell, now, I dunno? The man says, how bout you think about it and I'll be back. Later the man returns and buys the hat from the local and says to the local, do you know who I am....the local says while scrathing his head, vell, nohwww, I dunno? The man says Newman, I'm Newman, the local says "Newman Who?"
Went to the hair dressers and sitting beside me was
Mackenzie Phillips, as she and her hubby had a home in the Poconos as well, we had a very nice conversation. She was really nice, and honestly I don't think she thought I knew who she was.
My son's friend worked in Las Vegas in one of the Casinos and after work he sat down at the bar and spoke with Tom Selleck...said he was the great guy he projected on screne....
I waited on Phil Collins and his group for an entire week for breakfast every morning...they were touring Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton area...and he offered me to come to the show back stage.
When I was a little girl, my uncle bred and trained horses, and we knew a man who bred dappled paliminos...who sold horses to Roy Rogers. My uncle was friends with Roy Roger and Dale Evens and the Sons Of The Pioneers. Even saw their horses close up (Trigger and Trigger Jr.) They used to party big time at King's Orchard's in PA...now long gone....we had lunch with them, when they came to do a show at the Allentown Fair, and I met their horse trainer, Glen Randall.
I've been secretly in love with Kevin Costner for years, until he married again...hehe, how dare he marry that young girl...

Seriously, Hope they are very happy. His loss....
In all actuality, I've never been star struck by movie stars, they're simply people who wouldn't have a job if it were not for us shall we say, common folks, and I believe they deserve the right to their own privacy. I think it's unfair of all the gossip about them and rather childish and immature of American's to buy all that garbage. They're simply people who make mistakes, just like all of us...sheesh

Rich, perhaps, but in my book, material wealth doesn't make a human being, yanno?
Great thread
thank you
