Well I didn't know she was actress so her being fired is no loss as far as I am concerned.

Yes, but what a lot of people don't know is that MM had repeated show-downs with studio execs re: control of her career and her personal life. But, of course, the media [who sided with the execs] made it out to be drugs. Drugs played a part in her life but she was not the psychologically-damaged, drug-dependent junkie that the media portrayed her to be. I think a lot of the same thing is going on with the LL situation, or at least, there is more to what is going on in her life than what the media reports.

Didn't they have the same sort of thing happen with Courtney Love when she was making movies? I think they have to take out real high insurance on "tempermental" stars who are likely to bolt in the middle of a movie.

she made her bed and now she has to lie in it. she was an amazing actress in my opinion, but shes such a mess that she becomes a liability. if she'd clean herself up she'd have a chance to get it back. i dont think people actually WANT to see her fail...but shes not trying to improve herself at all, why should anyone take a chance on her?

Entertainers are just like everyone else.....some people get beyond their problems and some don't. Maybe having so much money and easy access to everything makes it even harder to get a grip on reality.

I can't even imagine the mess I would be if I had a million dollars in my early twenties.

Haven't her roles been basically 'Teenage girl or young woman with big breasts'?

Last time I checked, teenage girls and young women (with or without big breasts) are multi-faceted human beings.
A good actress gives dimension and depth to her portrayal.
IMHO Lohan, before she lost her way on the proverbial boulevard of broken dreams, showed some real acting chops.
She was excellent in Freaky Friday, The Parent Trap, A Prairie Home Companion, and especially Mean Girls.

Can't remember what size her boobs were in Mean Girls or the others, I was paying more attention to depth of character than depth of cleavage.

Mean Girls did not have the intricacy of The Third Man,the drama of Rear Window, or the visual splendor and exploration of character of, say, Lawrence of Arabia.

But it did have brilliant writing, directing and acting--and humanity, qualities not often found in generic teen dramedies.

Apparently Lindsay feels misunderstood.

Misconception
