Recs for Cell Phones/Plans (3G, iPhone, contract, ATT)

Hello!
Does anyone care to share suggestions. I want to join the 21st century and get one of those phones with Internet. I currently have a prepaid and it has worked well for me with the exception I don't have Internet and it is difficult to text. I am thinking of getting rid of my home phone and just keeping a cell too. All the information makes me dizzy...can anyone recommend phones and plans to start comparing? Looking for a family plan for two, Internet, text and minutes to call (750 would be OK). I am in CT. I am thinking no more than $100/month, less better.

I pay about $75 a month for my iPhone. I have 450 daytime - non-ATT minutes (ATT to ATT calls are free), 200 texts ($5 a month), and unlimited data ($30 a month - but not offered anymore) You could actually get your data for cheaper than mine.

Anyway, it is ATT, and the top end iPhone right now is $299 with a 2-year contract. You can get the iPhone 3GS at Walmart for $97 with a 2-year contract. I have the 3GS and it is amazing.
