I was so fed up with the Incredible's poor battery life I went online to look for extended life batteries, and I ran into threads about "battery bumping".

This link added an extra solid hour of juice to my battery. HTC Confirms Battery "Trick"

After I charged my battery and the light turned green, I unplugged the phone, turned it off, and plugged it back in again. The charge light didn't turn green again for nearly two hours. The third step took about 30 minutes.

Another way to increase battery life would be to root the phone and remove any and all bloatware. Though, depending on who your provider is - you could be in violation of their service agreement.

I tried it again last night. The phone charged about 2 hours till the green done light came on. I unplugged the phone, turned it off, plugged it in again, and the Orange charge light came on. The phone charged for an hour till the green light came on. I unplugged it, turned it on & off, and plugged it in for an additional 30 minutes. It's a pain, but I got a full days use and it still has a substantial charge.

Also turn off wi-fi and bluetooth when they're not needed, that will greatly extend your run times.
