Phone Help plzzzzz (computer, blackberry, e-mail, devices)

Maybe 'yall can help me out. Hope this is the right place to post this. I didn't see a tech forum here.

I'm looking at smart phones, the ipad, and net books. All I need is access to the internet on the go. I can be a phone that skips in my pocket, or the ipad or netbook or something else i can grab on the way out the door. Ideally, i would like an unlimted data plan, but i'll take what i can get. This device would be for personal use (checking e-mails, and mostly just browsing the web.

That's it. Pretty simple. If anyone can just give general opions on any devices and carriers, I would be greatful.

I have a BlackBerry Storm and I love it,now that I know how to use it.
Honestly,it's my phone,home computer,camera,video camera,note pad,calculator and many other things in one package.
My son,the tech-wizard,talked me into getting a smart phone. At the time I would have settled for reasonably intelligent but now that I have it I can't imagine having anything else.
