So there is an app that claims you can overlock your droid with it. Not sure what the risks are when overclocking a phone or if it will actually work. Anyone have any info on this? The app is

The Droid X and Droid2 are pretty powerful already. Not sure why you would even want to do this.
The Droid 1 is a bit slow so I could see that... but not for 2 or X.

You probably need root access to do this, but just go to the XDA-Developers forum for all the info you would need. Since you are asking this, I'm guessing you aren't too familiar with this stuff so read, read and read some more.
OCing your phone is cool, but it does affect battery life. You don't really notice much but I benchmark my Evo.

Theoretically, sure, but I sincerely doubt any one is writing a program to SLOW down the processing speed.

SET CPU can underclock. I have mine set to underclock my CPU to 245 MHZ when the phone is sleeping and doing nothing. Using less power means better battery life.
If it's sitting in my pocket for 20 minutes, it doesn't need to be at it's overclocked speeds to do nothing, lol...
