Sprint announced in a PR that they'll be increasing the pricing for their 3G smartphone plans by $10, bringing it in par with the current 4G smartphone pricing.
This goes into effect on January 30, so you have a couple weeks to make your move and get in under the current pricing.
Amazing its still cheaper than Verizon and ATT plans...I always thought Sprint was a little to cheap to maintain the image that it wants...I mean you release the EVO and EPIC the 2 top android devices in all of 2010 and their pricing plan was 1/2 what you pay for the same features on Verizon with the simplest of Droid phones. Its too good to be true
Atleast they're keeping Unlimited Data and not doing those stupid tiers....
Oh well I love my Sprint and I already pay the 10$ fee with my Epic.
Yea, Sprint is hard to beat. I was going to upgrade to a 4G phone anyways so the $10 fee doesn't really make a difference to me (which will cost me a $20/month premium because I'm on the SERO plan).
I was just pointing it out to the folks who were goingfor 3g phones.
The other thing they are changing is the requirements for yearly phone upgrade. If you're a silver premier member, you'll have to wait 2 years to upgrade... If you're a gold premiere member, you can still upgrade yearly.
