Less than a year ago both my daughter and I purchased a Samsung "Moment" cell phone from Sprint. Since then I have had to replace the phones charging plug 3 times and now this one is going to need replacing. My daughter has had to replace hers 2 times. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what you have done about it. Sprint has replaced these free of charge. When I called Samsung they said they would replace it but they need the original cord... which Sprint took upon replacing with a working cord.... soooo they won't do anything for me....... Looking for suggestions
The charging plugs I have used in the home seem to have something wrong with the wires as even if the cell phone is laying still it will charge and then go onto not charging... constantly clicking back and forth from charging to not charging. When I use the car charger it works as its suppose to, by constantly charging .

This is a shot in the dark, but could it be the power outlet it's plugged into? Can you charge it at work or somewhere else fine?
Also, you should have sprint look at the phone themselves. You must have bought these at the tail end of the moment's life span with sprint (they don't sell it anymore).
The moment is one of those for some it works for others it doesn't phones. I had one for about a week (before the HTC EVO) and the gps never ever worked. I traded it for an HTC Hero.
If you have the sprint protection plan I'd take both phones in and ask them to fix the phone itself and not the charger.
We had this issue with a different Samsung phone (can't remember the name of it). Samsung said the warranty was still good so send it in with the original charger. They sent it back with a note saying the warranty was invalid due to abuse. There wasn't any abuse though. We didn't even bother to fight them over it. We just popped the SIM into an older phone until the contract runs out. The next one won't be a Samsung.
