Default PAYG with unlocked iPhone?

Now that Apple is selling the unlocked iPhone in the US, I am considering an upgrade from my aging dumbphone. I've been using pay as you go with T-Mobile and rarely spend more than $15 a month. I have no interest in committing to a contract or paying for service I don't use. I'm usually around a wireless network but travel enough that internet on the go would be really convenient, particularly overseas.

I popped into an AT&T store today, and they said they don't sell pay as you go data plans. No commitment, no data. That's not what I saw on the website, but whatever...if he didn't want to make a sell, no biggie.

For those of you using iPhones without a contract (whether jailbroken long ago or having just made the jump "legally"), what carrier and plan do you use?

I don't have one, but T-Mobile offers unlimited talk, text, and 200 MB 3G data (throttled down to 2.5G) for $50. You're stuck with 2.5G if you use an iPhone on T-Mobile anyway, so you can ignore the data cap.
