Walked into the AT&T store Saturday the 8th..ordered 2 iphone 4s's expecting them to come in by Friday. After I placed the order, the sales guy says "Oh no, don't expect your phone for about 2 to 3 weeks!" WTH?? Bummed but optimistic. Here is it Tuesday, October 18th and nothing. You know what the kicker is? People waited on Friday and bought the darn thing at the Apple Store. I am wishing I would have done that. Anyone else waiting and any indication how much longer?
Yea, i can see why you said that. We have a tmobile plan with 4 of us on it and we all have different contract end dates. Mine ended last March, and DH ended Oct 4-he has the original iphone and Im using a blackberry that is pretty beat up and only working half the time. We wanted to avoid the cancel fee so we have been waiting until now-only to have the phones we want on backorder. Hope that explains it. It is just infuriating that we "pre" ordered only to have people walk in the store the day it was released and get a phone and we are still waiting..seems dumb to have pre ordered now.

You could have pre-ordered @ apple.com 10.7 and had it delivered on 10.14.
