I somewhat agree but the iPhone doesn't fare much better.
Only Windows Mobile really handles MS Exchange email really well. Oh, and the Blackberry, of course.
The reason I only somewhat agree is that Android, and the iPhone, handle corporate email well enough for most corporate users.
I have an office ful of people using every phone except WinMoby 7 and no one complains about the way any of these phones handle work email.

It doesn't need to. There are apps that take care of it. That's the beauty of a semi-open system.
