Here's the deal; I have a HTC Inspire with at&t and the 2gb of data a month. I always go over 2 to 3gb a month because I don't own a computer and use my Inspire for everything. Well my bill is usually around 80-100. Month. I just found out at&t offers unlimited data, talk, text on the go phone for $50. A month. This is crappy I'm Getting screwed, and why can they offer unlimited data on gophone, but not in a plan? It's the same company. So my question is this- I love my Inspire, can I buy a cheap gophone and setup the sim card in my inspire then get and activate the $50. Unlimited card? If this plan of mine works ill save around $50.+ a month and have unlimited data. I read the other thread similar to this but it.wasn't specific to my phone n situation.

I don't know what a GOPHONE is but I am assuming it has some type of limited internet, not full on browsing like a Droid does.
Leaves a bit to be desired...

If you read the terms on the ATT web site, the $50 unlimited package doesn't include smart phones, you still have to add a data plan to the GoPhone package.

You can find the full detail here: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-pho...k=1-005ZH4-0-2

Data plan prices are down the page a bit, but they are:
  • $5 for 10 MB
  • $15 for 100 MB
  • $25 for 500 MB
