My cell phone volume seems to be low even at the highest volume setting. Talking on speakerphone is not a good option because then the other party doesn't hear me well. The salesperson at Verizon said that this was normal. Is that true?

Call volume can only be adjusted while you’re on a call. If you have your volume all the way up for listening to music, that setting doesn’t apply when you’re using the phone. I don’t know if this is your problem, but it’s something a lot people don’t realize. General volume, ringer volume and call volume are independent.

That is not normal. My iphone 4 can get too load at times. I have the call volume set at about 70%.

If the above poster's suggestion doesn't work, try repositioning the phone in relation to your ear.

Does the volume change at all during a call and pressing the volume keys? Do you see the volume indicator going up and down on the screen as you are changing the volume?
