I am paying way too much ($240 for four phones) for a monthly family plan w/Verizon. I am looking for a prepaid or monthly plan that I can pay $50 or at the most, $70/month and have a smartphone (Android) with unlimited minutes, text and data for just my individual phone. I also would like service coverage that is as good as or even better than Verizon.
Virgin Mobile or Straight Talk are two options. Are there any better?
yes I have smart phone and my reception and coverage is great......I call the Bahamas and I have no problem....I have called out of country quite a few times with no problems......I surf the net also which is unlimited......
Lucario, are you asking if you can only pay $50-$70 for all 4 lines combined? If so, not likely.
Don't I wish, but no:

I have switched my entire family, including parents and cousins, to straight talk. We all have iPhones and pay $45 + tax for unlimited talk and text. They claim unlimited data, but if you go over 5 gigs per month they call and warn you about using too much data. We use AT&T towers and have service everywhere AT&T has.
Been 2 years and I love it.
The Unlimited Talk n Text plan is the best prepaid cell phone value in the nation. For just $39.95 per month, you get unlimited domestic voice minutes, unlimited domestic text/MMS* messages, and 100 megabytes of data transfer. Once activated, this plan will renew automatically every month.
It's Verizon network. You can port your Verizon Android and keep the tellly number. No contract, renew by CCard monthly.
And you know, of course, you may not really need the data. You can always use WiFi where available.
$219 for 4 Smartphones
3200min Voice (shared)
Unlimited Anytime Mobile to Mobile
7PM Weekend & Nights
Unlimited Text/SMS/MMS
Unlimited Data
Virgin Mobile
$55/month per line for Unlimited Voice/Data/Text
$45/month per line for 1200 Voice/Unlimited Data/Unlimited Text
How many minutes do you really use? And how many of those do you use calling a cell phone vs a landline? With Sprint, since all the lines have unlimited mobile to mobile, it doesn't use your minutes whenever you call any cell phone.
very important thing is , are you gonna keep verizon phones or shopping for new ones too ?
cuz you got more options if shopping for phones too.
verizon is cdma , so you are limited there
I dont think straight talk will port verizon phones (google it )
ST got hard cap on their data( they can cut you off completely )
for virgin you have to buy their phones , good plans tho
best thing is to buy unlocked GSM phones , than you can go with Straight Talk ,T Mobile ,Simple Mobile...
and you can change in between them any time
