I use MOG and Google Music (cloud) on my drives home, it's perfect.

No problems over 900 MHz EDGE - of course the radio station bandwidth can't be too high though, 64-96k is okay. 3G 2100 MHz reception seems much more spotty and not as suited for the purpose.

I have sprint, and I can stream pandora on 3g in high quality. Might be my area though since it is fairly densely populated. Also, my gf has straight talk and she can stream just fine as well. I've used GPS at the same time and pandora with no issues, but that was along a major interstate.

But at the end of the day, virgin mobile isn't all that great for streaming audio. Ask around about others coverage with different carriers. T-mobile has a prepaid plan and it's unlimited 3g.
