So I upgraded my old LG Quantum to a Lumia 920 today since my Quantum was near death. I don't want to start a debate about Windows Phone .Vs. iPhone or anything like that. Mainly I just want to know where to find the default background on the phone. It's a bluish photo of the beach with the moon. It's a pretty cool picture and I don't want to lose it if I change the background. I found someone asking the same question on a Windows Phone forum and they got an answer that doesn't really help much. It was hitting browse when changing your background in settings. Even though you can't actually change your background from settings. So if anyone knows the answer your help will be appreciated.

I am assuming you are meaning changing the background picture of the lock screen, and you do actually do this from settings. you go into settings, and then click on lock screen. from in there, you can change the background to photo and then select which photo you want.

Yup. This
Settings>Lock Screen> Change Photo

In the "Background" field, you can change between photo, Bing (photo of the day) or there are some apps such as Facebook that can show in your lock screen photo.
If you want to change
