I hated the Wikipedia app when I tried it, about six months ago. The keyboard often wouldn't appear when it should have.
And why would Wikipedia crash when it's mostly text and some text links?

Dolphin seems like it's the one to use.

I am not sure of the reason on the Wikipedias end why it would. But I suspect its not as simple as it appears to the user. There may be some other code from the website that the browser cant understand.

Dolphin, Opera, Skyfire, FF....there are TONS. Really you cant go wrong with any of the more popular ones as a replacement.
Why not try them all out and see which one you like best? They are free anyway

The problem is finding the perfect ROM. IME, this one the camera didn't work, this one the GPS didn't work, this one the screen didn't flip. Just issue after issue. Maybe it was just what was available for my phone, but it was pretty annoying.

That is the big issue, the Inspire 4G has some great ROM's, my Vivid on the other hand isn't very well supported, just tried Cyanogen mod but it has audio issues. So far I'm just running on the stock ICS ROM, but rooted with all the bloatware removed, which is a big improvement over stock so I haven't mucked around with too many ROM's on it.
