Many people don’t realize that certain apps, especially ones that use GPS, drain your battery very quickly. Also, if you don’t close the app properly, it will continue to run in the background (constantly updating your location) and can drain a full charge in a few hours.
Yes, battery life is an issue, but you can maximize efficiency.
So maybe advanced technology is overrated? Well I may have to stick with the blackberry9700
No its not overrated it has limits just like anything else. My wife loves hers; altho I do not need one for what I do. Nothing different than the limited charge on a laptop or tablet really or any other rechargeable device. Do add function it takes power ;plain and simple.
Just went up on Verizon's website for pre-order last week. If I was getting a BB no way it wouldn't be one of these.

T Mobile will have it Wednesday.
If you're committed to staying with Blackberry, it makes sense to wait two more days rather than buying a phone running an outdated, dead-end OS with absolutely no future.
Well I can take a fully charged blackberry to a cookout at 12pm in another state and when I return home I still have 2 bars left at 11pm.
It really depends on how you use your phone. If you have a lot of services and apps running and play games all day, your iphone battery will run out quick. If you use it just for email, web, text, and occasional calls, it will last you fairly long.
As for android phones, the Motorola Razr M has an exceptionally long lasting battery.

You're probably thinking of the RAZR HD Maxx.
I had it. It still needs to be recharged every day if you actually use it. I suppose it's better than other Android devices, but it still eats batteries and you can still drain it in a couple hours simply by walking into a room with really bad reception (incidentally, it also gets uncomfortably hot if you do this). In real world usage, I would put it about on par with an iPhone or HTC 8x, despite those having much smaller batteries. Android (and all the widgets) tends to be quite the battery-sucking pig.
