Thank you shmoov_groovzsd,

I wasn't trying to be a jerk, just wanted to clarify the term.

Oh definitely, I understand. Sometimes the spirit of a post can come off as dry.

But you always have really good posts that are spot on.

Out of reps for you, so here is the thumbs up...though not nearly as cool

You're right. I always though WATER PROOF meant submersible. Apparently to be fully water proof it has to be submersible indefinitely and not for a limited time.

I think the solution for me is a waterproof baggie for my water resistant phone. Unfortunately the bags that exist are massive, meant for IPhones and not my tiny defy +. On the bright side I love my phone. It turned out to be a great purchase. I don't know if I'll take it out in the water anytime soon though, even in a housing...

Sony Xperia® Z, in a video review they submerged the phone in water for 30 minutes and it still worked perfectly fine. I don't think it's out in the U.S. yet as it'll be coming to t-mobile soon.

There is a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active that's supposed to be water resistant.

I'm thinking about getting the Torque. I like the fact they don't have a speaker in the conventional sense.
