I have a Pixel 4 XL and recently have been experiencing issues watching you-tube videos . By default i always have used google chrome and am not aware that I've changed any settings that might cause the videos to freeze and force me to reload the page
normally when something does not work as expected i delete and re install the app but because google chrome came per installed i dont seem to be able to do that.
i just downloaded Firefox and did a quick compare, watching same clip that froze ten mins prior in chrome and it was fine. maybe Firefox is the answer but surely not on a google phone i would expect all things google to work seamlessly
I have no problem using Chrome or Edge on my Pixel 4XL. Even watching the few Youtube videos I might watch. But the videos I watch on the phone are short and usually informative not entertaining.
Motion sense (a radar type system) is technically three functions; with the phone face up on a table it will sense if you are near it and turn on the display. The other feature is if you reach for the phone it will turn on the facial recognition sensors and turn off an alarm.
The third function is the gesture navigation, where you slide the screen to the left to go back, slide up to exit the app or remove it from the screen to allow it to run, etc.
I have motion sense turned On; however, I turned off the gesture navigation because it caused problems (and was a pain) with some apps, and I was more used to the three button navigation used on my previous phones and still used on my tablet. Once gesture navigation was turned off, and I was back to the 3-button navigation no more problems.
