The 5s beat the S4 in just about every benchmark test thrown at it and it beat it by a wide margin. The only mobile chipset that can match the A7 is Intel's Bay Trail line (which is for tablets, not smartphones). The A7 wiped the floor with even the Snapdragon.
Of course, with all things tech, the A7's time on top will be short lived.

I'm pumped... after years of Windows I bought a MacBook Air a couple months ago and fell in love... best laptop ever.
Of course, I have a Galaxy S3 smartphone and it just doesn't sync very well with OS X and iTunes. So I decided to get a 5s... my first iPhone. I placed the order at 12:03am on the 20th and it's about to ship... staying up did pay off and I won't have to wait 2-4 weeks for the phone to ship... I've also read that the gold ones are delayed into early November.
The Galaxy S3? It's currently on Ebay and the bidding is approaching $300 with 1 day left. I'm happy... it will definitely put a nice dent in the price of the iPhone.

Funny enough Apple still relies on Samsung to make components for their devices and I believe Samsung manufactured the A7 chip.

My Galaxy S3 sold for $320 which is a great price considering it's a year old Android phone and has just about reached the end of its resale life.
I consider the 5s an investment... Even though I paid full price $849 for the 64GB model I can resell it next September when my account is upgrade eligible and get back probably 80% of the net $529 that I paid for it... and that's fine by me.
Just got the shipping notice:
Scheduled Delivery:
Thursday, 09/26/2013, By End of Day
Last Location: Arrived - ZhengZhou, China, Monday, 09/23/2013
That kinda surprised me... it's coming from China... and all this time I thought Apple was made in the USA.

Yeah I think they do. I know Samsung and TSMC were bidding on the contract to mass produce the A7. Samsung won the bid I believe.

Apple is in the process of trying to bring jobs back to the United States. Right now, the Mac Pro is designed and built in the US. The iPhone however is still assembled in China but designed in the US.

iTunes and Android do not sync at all without the aid of some app or another. You can, however, simply drag and drop what-ever iTune music file you like onto your S3. Doesn't matter, now, I suppose.
I am not sure what the hype is around the gold, let alone colored iPhones. You all are going to put one of those big azz Otterboxes or what-ever over it. Well, if you are an American, you will.

Right. And that Toyota at the dealership down the street was built in Japan.

I got rid of the S3 at the right time... $320 for an Android phone at the end of it's resale life was a good deal. I know at this time next year I'll get a good price for the 5s and will basically upgrade to the next iPhone for free. Compatibility with iTunes and my Air and a high resale value are pretty big. I'll miss the big screen of the S3 but it's a fair tradeoff. Hopefully next year Apple will add a bigger screen.
I run with a Ballistic case... to me it's all about drop protection and I could care less about the iPhone color. I ordered the silver though because it should somewhat match my Air... not that I will see the color anyway.
Oh... I drive a Dodge that was made in Mexico I believe...
