Since I've been using MS Office at work for years and years honestly the familiarity of a Windows system phone appeals. Of course Windows 8 has sort of disabused me of that notion

Talk of the 1520...sounds wonderful to me. I have been wanting mobile cellular internet for a small tablet. Seems like big smart phones will get there first.

The ATT 1520 is $49 right now at Best Buy, for a new customer and a 2 year contract.

I want a phablet for myself...

Fixin' to jump...

Picked up the Nokia 1520, 920, and 2520 tablet on New Years Eve.
Also subscribed to MS Office 365 Small Business Premium.

This is going to be very interesting.

I'm generally an OS X (and if not that, Linux) guy, but WP8 is really nice. It's by far my favorite mobile platform. iOS is too restrictive. Android will do everything but every device I've owned has been sluggish and the apps are low quality. WP offers a much better experience - stable and fast like iOS, with instantly available useful information like Android. The only downside is the app selection is fairly poor.

I just took my 1520 on a road trip from San Diego to Portland for the past two weeks and it took some super shots.

Nice to hear everyone likes their WP devices for those that have bought them.

Expect deeper OS integration and customization between Windows platforms in the coming year.

Shmoov_groovzsd, do you know if the 2520 has internet sharing on AT&T?

Ive been searching online and I've only been able to confirm that the Verizon version has internet sharing.

Ive been carrying a WP and a blackberry for the past 3 years, not willing to part with the BB because of the keyboard. I just got a dell venue pro wp7, and while I really like wp8, this portrait slider is what will finally let me give up the BB for emails and messaging.... I will miss having LTE though and was hoping the 2520 has internet sharing like my other lumia devices so I can use that when I need a quick data connection on the phone.

I am in the tech field and have only known one guy that had a Windows phone and that was a couple of years ago. He said it was ok but would probably get a Galaxy S Android for his next phone. I haven't seen him in a while so I don't know if he still has it or upgraded.

Almost everyone I know work/business wise have Android devices including Galaxy tabs. Most also have their laptops set up to dual boot between Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7 and run Linux 90% of the time. None have a windows phone and very few have an iPhone.

Outside of work, everyone I know either has Samsung Galaxy S or Notes or iPhones. I have also been noticing a shift away from iPhones over the last year to Androids. Still not a single person has a Windows phone.

Not unexpected.
Windows Phone has just under 4% market share. So, one would hardly expect to see them every where. But, my 1520 is an attention getter, and I have had a few people stop me tell me that it or the 1020 will be their next phone.

I swapped the Galaxy S3, and wouldn't consider going back to it at this point.
