As Americans rely more on their mobile devices, guzzling data along the way, the carriers are aggressively wooing new customers.

Yup! This CEO Legere is a genius and totally shaking up the status quo. The industry needed someone like this to force the others to move.

This is the first year in almost a decade I have not made it to ces. But a friend of mine at ces saw him getting booted out of the att booth and said it was hilarious.

I hope this works out for tmo and they get defecters.

This is in response to AT&T offering $450 to T-mobile users willing to jump ship. The target is AT&T. Not Sprint.

I think it's the opposite actually. The rumor that T-Mo would reimburse ETFs as part of their "UnCarrier" platform has been around for a while. AT&T's promotion was in response to the T-Mo rumor.

You also have to trade in a working device.

Even still, if you're in the market for a new phone anyway...

Sounds like a great deal if I wanted to end my 16 year business relationship with Verizon and move on to a provider with craptastic coverage areas...

T-mobile is pretty good in some areas of the country. They are about 97% as good as Verizon here in Atlanta.
