I have a friend who seriously struggles with time management- the concept of time is almost foreign to him. He has an I-phone, but isn't really the type to go search for apps. I told him I would see if I could find any that might help him - something where he could set reminders throughout the day (alarms), enter deadlines for goals, etc.

Any ideas appreciated!

He has what he needs already. The built in calendaring function on the iPhone. And it couldn't be easier to set an alarm using Siri....

"Remind me call Tracy at 9am on Friday"

It really is that easy...

I love Siri for reminders. She wakes me up in the morning, send me reminders all day—and helps me time food while I’m cooking dinner. It’s be best use of Siri that I’ve found. Also, whenever I enter an appointment into iCal, I set a reminder for one-day before and two-hours before. That way I’m always prepared and never miss anything.

Reminders are getting more and more sophisticated. There’s one functionality that will suggest you leave early if traffic is bad, etc. Your friend should look at the iPhone tutorials and tips on YouTube. There’s tons of functionality that most people don’t even know exists.
