Disappeared App.

Recently acquired an LG G2 phone, with the latest Android OS.
It had a *thingy* on it called *tools* (looked like a yellow back ground rectangular screen)
and I could put a whole lot of Apps *in* it,
to unclutter the screen (I like a clean screen!)

Accidentally I *removed* it.
I tried to find it again but to no avail.
Anybody knows what or where to look for it to get it back ?

Essentially it is like a directory on your regular computer where you can put all your shortcuts in.

TIA

I finally figured out what was going on.

It is actually something like grouping a bunch of icons and you just put one icon on top of each other which then makes a *folder*. Then you can rename the folder ... and then you can *add more icons, and delete the ones on your screen.

Sadly, this *feature* is NOT mentioned in the factory manual(s).
I *found* the solution by adding the words *icons, grouping, android*
and then got the following link :
How to Make App Folders in Android 4 Jelly Bean

I put one of the bottom 5 icons (one I very seldom use) into the folder and then put this folder in its place.
The final result is that I only have one screen now (do not have to swipe to get another screen) in order to do anything.

But, ... I did create more screens and added family pics on each one, so now I have a *bragbook* right there ! Just swipe over and over to show off the kids and grandkids !.

One thing it does NOT do is add widgets to that folder ...
Oh well ...

Thanks again for trying !

That is an Android feature, not specific to your phone, also you can change which icon in the group it uses for the folder image, just drag which ever one you want to use to first in the list.

Widgets are designed to run on the home screens to provide instant access to data, they live nowhere else.

Aha ... , no wonder I could not find how to do it in the *phone* manual.
I did find a *manual* for the Android OS, and have been lurking there !

Thanks again NHDave
