Hi all!

We are definitely doing Consumer Cellular this month.

Here's my question:I'm trying to decide on a phone.I looked at CNET/Amazon reviews for these 2 androids which seem to indicated some Freezing issues so I thought I'd ask here.

-I txt a lot
I take some photos with a phone but I normally do 80% of my photos with my dedicated camera
-I plan to use GPS/Maps and check my email. I dislike movies on phones/computers but I may listen to live stream radio on it.
-My hearing stinks so a clear voices would help

Which phone would give me the best bang for my limited old lady uses?

LG Escape: $300
Dual-Core processor (1.2 GHz)
OS Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)
WiFi & GPS enabled
Internal memory: 4GB
Battery life: up to 8.5 hours talk time

Samsung Rugby Smart $150
processor speed (1.4 GHz).Qualcomm Snapdragon S2
os Android 2.3.6 (“Gingerbread”).
WiFi & GPS enabled
internal memory: 4GB
8-hour battery life

Now I can get an Iphone4s for $450 but I dont want to buy the Bently when the Toyota would make me happy.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

The Android version alone is enough to rule out the Rugby. You'll be permanently stuck with an OS from 2010 and all the bugs, glitches, slowness, and general terribleness that Android of that vintage suffers from, along with the increasing likelihood that developers will simply abandon it due to the extra work required to support it and harm to app stability.

I'm not a movie/youtube/stream video person-- yes, I'm a luddite

My DH may want that but is $200 more so he may just stick with his tablet for that.
