Oooh..."Bend Gate" again! The annual ritual in which idiots pay a lot of money for a new iPhone then promptly proceed to abuse it and destroy the thing, apparently unaware that aluminum will bend and and glass will break if subjected to heavy stresses.
How about not putting the phone in your pocket if it's that tight... Or maybe not bending it like the guy in the video who appears to be struggling to bend the damn thing

Eh, it technically is a design flaw. Phones need to be designed with the idea of normal abuse taking place. You certainly cant bend the iphone 4 or 5 like that.

A design flaw ?? I find that hard to accept. Unless consumers are willing to spend hundreds of $$ more for a more scratch, break resistant display, it won't happen soon without a major new breakthrough/design. Even with a phone case, a phone can still be damaged. We need to be more realistic in our expectations.
Anytime a company tries to make a product "Idiot-proof" there will always be a bigger idiot out there.

Of course you can (less so with the 4 - not as tall and the back is different. People complained about bending. They even called it bendgate.
It's really not surprising at all - the 6+ is a much bigger device with even thinner sides. Obviously it's going to be easier to bend.

No, it is not a design flaw. You can bend an iPhone 4 or 5. Normal use won't cause your phone to fold.
so... will Apple provide another free case like with antennagate?
I just cant stop thinking of the iPhone as looking like a hotdog now, it's dimensions fit the profile to me... hotdog cases anyone?
