When I trash an e-mail it reappears. Did some searching on the web and best answer I have is switching from pop to IMAP? Am a novice at this can anybody help?
I tried doing that several times and the trashed items keep reappearing. I just switched from a iphone 4 to a 6. Was able to clear out trashed items with the 4, however the 6 won't clear them out.
I don't know which email provider you use, but in Gmail I went to it's setting on my computer and enabled IMAP. Then on the phone either edit the settings to use IMAP, or delete the account an re-set it up to work with IMAP.

I'm using live and iCloud. I think switching from pop to IMAP will fix it. Will try today and report back.
What I do is the following (online): I go to the Apple website, Support, then choose iPhone support. Once there I choose one of the boxes that relate to the problems I am having with the iPhone. If none of the boxes lists the malfunction the phone is having, then I choose the box that indicates the latter. After you enter the serial number of the cellphone, the following choices are offered to you:
a. To have an online chat with a technician
b. Or to have a technician contacting you via email
c. Or to have a technician calling you any day of the week (even weekends), and the time you want
d. You can also talk to a technician
The dude at the Apple store near me told me that my mail problem was because I was using a Live account. He said that I should switch to Gmail. Can anyone comment?
