Hi, is there any disadvantage to buying an iPhone at the Apple store rather than going into Verizon? I'd rather go to Apple. At Verizon, I feel like I'm at a car dealership and it makes me very uncomfortable. I know Apple is connected to Verizon-they are on their system and can do everything Verizon does in terms of setting up your contract/no contract, your plan, etc. Thanks.

I can't think of any. It is no different than going to a verizon authorized retailer. Go where you're comfortable.

Ok, thanks. Also, for people who bought iPhones 6 & 6 plus, did you buy them on the "Edge" plan where you pay retail price over 18 mos., or the upgrade price of $199 or $299? I thought initially that the Edge plan where you pay the retail price was more expensive, but now I see that with discounts, it's actually cheaper than the upgrade over time. I don't know. I think you can't beat these carriers at their game. If you want the latest iPhones I guess you just have to go along with these carriers.

I have the 6. Verizon was running a sale. I paid outright. I was debating between the 6 plus 16gb or the 6 with 64gb. I rather have storage then screen size. I have an iPad for that.

I bought mine (6 plus) full price at Apple. It's unlocked that way.

I gave it to my eldest son later and bought the fully unlocked 6 plus global phone. I figure it'll have higher resale value if I go that route.

Yeah. I haven't had a 16GB since the iPhone 3GS. My 4 and my 4S were 32. My 5 and 5s were 64. I bought a 128 6 plus, but gave it to my kid. I went back to 64. Don't need 128 just yet.

Just so that you guys know, with Verizon your iPhone is unlocked no matter where you bought it from even if you got it subsidized. You don't have to pay full price to have it unlocked. It's already unlocked right out of the box.

Two weeks with the 6, I really like it. I might think about an iPad mini.
