I blocked a contact on my iphone6 then DELETED the contact entirely. Will the block of that number HOPEFULLY still be in effect. If not how can I block that number. If it is blocked where do I go to verify all blocked numbers?

Settings > Phone > Blocked > You'll see the list of blocked numbers.

I did mention that I first blocked the contact then deleted the same from my contact list. Last night I checked settings/phone/blocked and the black wasn't there for any number. Is there a way to manually put up a block which is not on your contact list? I tried to add but it only offered me my list. What did I do wrong? Do I have to replace the contact then block them. I don't like having this contact on my list because it's close to one I call often and sometimes hit the wrong button. |

Did you ever message this number? I know if you go into messages and start typing the number it will pop up with a little "i" in a circle. You can click that "i" and then scroll down and hit block. They do NOT need to be a current contact to be blocked.
Or try recent calls to find the little "i".
Try that and let me know if it works.
